First, you should only focus on one thing at a time. In recent years, there has been “multitasking,” that is, doing multiple things at the same time, and this way of thinking allows many things to be done at once. It has become a fairly popular philosophy, but it’s not actually realistic.

Indeed, while a person can do one thing while dealing with another, and when he or she does one thing, he or she can complete another chore, we are not always able to divide our attention between two or more things at the same time.

Why is that then? Because there’s always one thing that “steals” your attention, and you don’t necessarily do a good job on either thing you handle. Your brain works better when you focus only on what is right in front of you.

Instead, dividing the numbers into two or three parts with four or three numbers makes it easier to keep this group of numbers in mind for the future. Repeat the numbers you shared several times to keep them in mind.

Another technique that can really be a good help is breakdown. While you were at school, the teacher must have at some point given the task of making maps to describe the main ideas of the text. This is a great method even when you need to remember a lot of things as an adult!

Have you noticed that it’s harder for you to remember something when the evening is already long? Or that you can’t remember any easy thing if you’ve only slept 3-4 hours? This is because your brain needs to rest so that it can regain its strength, just like the other muscles in your body need.

You should maintain a healthy sleep routine: a suitable amount is 7-9 hours. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, and whenever you can, take a little nap in the afternoon. Don’t watch TV in bed, and avoid big dinners as this will make you feel sleepy.

During exercise, your body pumps oxygen, and this “clean air” will come to mind as well. When this happens, you will be better able to remember all the information you get during the day.
