Vaseline In Beauty Care

Vaseline in beauty treatment

Vaseline is a fat composed of long-chain hydrocarbons obtained as a by-product of  petroleum refining (petroleum or petroleum distillation) and has many uses. Take advantage of Vaseline in beauty treatment!

The composition of Vaseline can vary, but the most common use is soft Vaseline, which is used in creams, lubricants, and many beauty products.

How to utilize Vaseline in beauty care

There are many ways to utilize Vaseline in beauty treatments. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, petrolatum, or “kerosene jelly,” was sold as a miracle cure for almost all skin problems and wounds.

Vaseline is used as a lubricant on human skin and mucous membranes and can protect irritated or mildly damaged skin. However, it should not be applied to bleeding wounds. It has also been used to protect the skin from frost.

While it may sound strange to put a substance made from petroleum directly on the skin or use it for health care, it has many protective and beneficial effects on the body. Vaseline has been removed from all harmful ingredients and is completely safe to apply directly to the skin.

Vaseline has a thick composition that is especially suitable for protecting the skin and treating dry skin. It is commonly used in lip balms as it keeps the skin of the lips moist and prevents drying and cracking.

Vaseline is somewhat water-resistant and forms a protective film on the surface of the skin, making it suitable for even harsh conditions: rain, rain, frost and high temperatures.

Vaseline is a really cheap ingredient that comes in a scented or normal, somewhat unscented version. Keep a jar of Vaseline in your closet and you will notice how much it will be used.

This is how you use Vaseline in beauty care

  • Vaseline is a great lip balm.  Rub a small pinch of Vaseline on your lips to keep them moisturized and supple. Especially in winter, the lips dry out and can crack painfully, so use Vaseline regularly, especially if you notice they dry easily. Excessive sun also dries your lips, so keep a small jar of Vaseline with you on a sun vacation. Vaseline also acts as a lip gloss, so if you want your lips to look attractive, swallow a drop of Vaseline on them.
  • Vaseline is suitable for moisturizing feet and hands. The feet and hands dry easily and hardening and dry spots appear on the feet. Rub Vaseline on the heels and dry areas of the toes as it softens calluses and treats cracked, painful heels. Do not use foot scrub until you have softened the calluses with Vaseline, as excessive shaking can make the calluses worse. If you want a real intensive treatment, rub a layer of Vaseline on your feet or hands and cover them with cotton socks or gloves and let the Vaseline work for at least 15 minutes. You can also leave the Vaseline in place overnight. Rinse with warm water. You will immediately notice how much softer your skin is!
  • Vaseline is suitable for make-up removal. The composition of Vaseline is even suitable for removing water-resistant eye makeup, as the sensitive area around the eyes is not irritated by Vaseline. Rub the Vaseline with your fingers on the skin and wipe off with a damp cotton swab. Finish with toner.
  • Vaseline can be used as a moisturizer.  If your skin is dry, apply Vaseline all over your body after a shower or bath – Vaseline effectively softens and moisturizes the skin.
  • Vaseline can exfoliate the skin.  Mix a drop of Vaseline with two tablespoons of sugar or salt and you will get an easy exfoliating cream. You can use an exfoliating cream on the face and whole body: crystals of sugar and salt exfoliate dead skin and dirt, while Vaseline moisturizes the skin. By rubbing the Vaseline mixture on the lips, you peel off the dead skin and reveal the soft lips from below. Apply the exfoliating cream to the skin in a circular motion and allow it to absorb for a while before rinsing off – it is advisable to do the exfoliation just before showering to avoid clutter. You can complete the treatment by using a soft toothbrush to rub your lips or a towel to rub your body.

  • Vaseline moisturizes the skin after hair removal.  Whether you’re used to waxing or shaving your hair, hair removal can leave behind dry legs and a reddish bikini line. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the hair removal area and allow it to absorb. The skin calms down and feels soft.
  • Make your own liquid blush. Mix a pinch of lipstick jerky with Vaseline and store in a small airtight box. Swipe your cheeks like a blush – you’ll notice how well the color stays even during a busy day.
  • Vaseline prolongs the scent of the perfume.  Before spraying the perfume on your wrist, rub a thin layer of Vaseline on where you plan to put the perfume. Spray the perfume on top of Vaseline and you’ll notice how much longer the scent lasts.
  • Vaseline protects the scalp during coloring.  If you dye your hair with permanent dyes at home, protect your skin from color stains with Vaseline. Rub a small amount of Vaseline on the hairline, earlobes, neck and other areas where the color may hit. This will avoid disgusting color spots on the skin that are difficult to wash off.
  • Use Vaseline in beauty care, for example, as a hair conditioner. After shampooing, apply a small amount of Vaseline to the dry scalp and tops, allow to absorb for a moment and rinse thoroughly.  Vaseline moisturizes and repairs hair and soothes scaly and itchy scalp.

  • Vaseline hides the bifurcated. Apply a small amount of Vaseline to the broken and tearing tops: Vaseline smoothes the hair and makes it look vibrant and shiny. Vaseline keeps hair in line and does not electrify so easily.
  • Use with sunscreen.  If your skin is dry, sunscreen doesn’t always look very good. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the areas where you want to use the sunscreen and apply the sunscreen normally.
  • Treats eyebrows and lashes. Vaseline can be applied to the eyebrows as it treats and moisturizes both the skin and hairs of the eyebrows. By applying a small amount of Vaseline to your lashes, you take care of the condition of your lashes and make sure they grow thick. Use Vaseline before going to bed so it can be safely absorbed during the night
  • Takes care of cuticles. Vaseline can quickly get rid of dry and ugly cuticles. Rub a drop of Vaseline on the cuticles and nails, you will immediately notice how they soften and smooth.
  • Suitable for massage.  Use Vaseline like a massage oil. Vaseline relaxes muscles and moisturizes the skin at the same time. Take a small amount, rub it into your hands and then all over your body.
  • Primed eye makeup.  Apply a small amount of Vaseline to the eyelid to prime eye makeup. Vaseline makes eye makeup clear and keeps it in place for a long time. Be sure to use a very small amount and make sure your eye makeup is compatible with Vaseline.
  • Remove the stuck ring with Vaseline. If the ring is stuck, rub the Vaseline directly onto the ring and slide the ring off easily.
  • Vaseline treats and softens scars. Vaseline softens the skin and fades scars. It can be used to treat surgical scars, pregnancy scars and acne scars. Vaseline is also suitable for healing the skin after taking a tattoo.
