Delicious, light pastries

Light pastries are a great option for a healthy diet. You should add some of the things you love to your diet, but can opt for a lighter version of them.

Sweet-loving people know that sugar is their arch-enemy. At the same time, however, it is also their good friend. If you are sad, tired or angry, bring sugar the relief you need. This mental conflict often results in you resorting to satisfying your desires with glucose, something sweet.

You may now be asking yourself if light desserts even exist or are they just some kind of advertising? However, they are real. To make your search a little easier, we want to introduce three lighter desserts.

Three lighter pastries

1. Flourless cake

Flour is the main source of carbohydrates. As you probably know, they will not help at all if you are trying to lose weight or maintain your current weight.

However, is it possible to make a cake without flour? Yes it is, and it becomes one of the best light pastries! Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g of wheat bran
  • A bag of dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 30 ml of liquid sweetener
  • 1 tbsp nonfat yogurt (whatever flavor you want)
  • Lemon peel (to taste)

Manufacturing

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees first.
  • Beat the eggs.
  • Add wheat bran, yeast and sunflower oil
  • Add liquid sweetener, lemon zest and yogurt.
  • Then mix well.
  • Pour into a baking dish.
  • Put the dough in the oven for 40 minutes.

2. Strawberry cheesecake

Strawberries are ideal for making light pastries. They don’t have a lot of calories. They are also very useful in fighting cholesterol as they contain ascorbic acid, lecithin and pectin. It  makes them the perfect addition to any healthy diet.

So if you don’t have anything sweet ready and sweet lust surprises,  there’s no problem eating strawberries whenever you just feel like it. They are excellent and just a little sweet.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of skimmed cream cheese
  • 200 g of yogurt
  • 125 ml of skimmed milk
  • 20 g of corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons liquid sweetener
  • Strawberries (to taste)

Manufacturing

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Then mix the cream cheese, yoghurt and milk in an oven-safe pan.
  • Add cornstarch and liquid sweetener.
  • Then place the cake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Chop the strawberries.
  • Remove the cake from the oven, remove from the pan and cover with strawberries.
  • Cool in the freezer until ready to serve.

3. Blueberry muffins

Blueberries and all red berries are dishes you can use in light pastries. In addition, they bring fluff, which is a key feature of muffins.

This dessert isn’t really very good for a regular snack, but it’s perfect for moments when you feel like you’d like to have a little treat.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Lemon peel (to taste)
  • Blueberries (to taste)
  • 100 g of sunflower oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons liquid sweetener

Manufacturing

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Then chop the blueberries into really small pieces.
  • Mix the sweetener and sunflower oil in a large bowl.
  • Add the eggs one by one, stirring constantly.
  • When the mixture is smooth, add honey, lemon zest and blueberries.
  • Strain the flour and baking powder into the mixture.
  • Continue mixing until it becomes doughy.
  • Put a little oil in the baking pan.
  • Put the dough in a pan.
  • Put in the oven for 30 minutes.

You can include these recipes in your diet even once every two weeks. During your diet, you may feel as if you are succumbing to temptation. When you feel this way, you are more likely to eat something high in fat or give up your diet altogether.
