Alone In A Relationship – A Devastating Situation

If you feel lonely with your partner, it will be devastating to you, and this destruction will happen little by little. Escape from a situation like this so that your life can be healthier and more enjoyable.
Alone in a relationship - a devastating situation

There is a phrase that we have always considered very important, even though we have never dealt very deeply with its meaning:  “it is better to be alone than in bad company”.

This is a clear reference to a situation where you are alone despite being in a relationship. This kind of relationship is perhaps the worst type.

When you don’t have a partner, you may feel fear and even horror, but imagine a situation where you’re in a relationship with someone, and yet you feel lonely.

This is a situation that is more common than you think. The problem arises when a person decides not to solve an issue.

When you are alone in a relationship

If you are lonely with your partner, you may have a strong feeling of emptiness coming from within.  You may also feel that this emptiness is impossible to remove because you are in a relationship!

Yes, of course it is that you are not practically alone – at least physically. But just because someone is by your side doesn’t mean he or she will be with you mentally and emotionally.

It is important to pay attention to the signs that warn you that you are not as close to your partner as you think:

  • Your partner will not listen to you  or pay attention to anything you say. Maybe he’s pretending to listen, but you know he doesn’t. He will be surprised when he answers your questions incorrectly.
  • You caught him lying. He won’t pay attention to you.
  • This will make you feel worse, and perhaps so that you are not aware of the situation (and you will start repeating the same thing to justify it).
  • Instead of encouraging you, motivating you to pursue your dreams, or embarking on the madness that is on your mind, he’s trying to get you to leave all that kind of bang aside.
  • Is the reason always yours?  Your partner should support you, not immerse you in misery.
  • Maybe you’ve been wrong about something, but that doesn’t mean the person next to you should blame you and leave you alone with the damage, washing your own hands of the situation.

Are you beginning to realize that your partner is selfish? No doubt, but it’s a very common personality type, and you should take a distance from such a person if you start to feel alone in a relationship.

The person who is by your side in such a relationship does not value you, does not care about you, and does not support you unconditionally. You’re with a partner who doesn’t offer you quality time, and it hurts.

Alone in a relationship: mental wounds

You will not feel sad, rejected and disappointed. Loneliness in a relationship can have great consequences for a person’s well-being over time.

Consider the fact that this is a similar situation as if you were in a relationship with a toxic person.  He will take from you and consume you until there is nothing left of you.

Suddenly you then start having anxiety attacks and depression. Why is this happening? The answer lies in the person you still hold by your side.

The big difficulty here is that you should leave the situation. Somehow your self-esteem has dropped more and more until you start to feel guilty about what has happened. You even blame yourself for your own sense of loneliness.

You start trying your best to make an emotional connection to your partner and to make your relationship stronger and healthier. You start to fear that your partner will leave you because you have not been able to resolve things.

You develop an emotional level of addiction, and then the imbalance between the two of you becomes clearer.

You have ceased to be yourself and you have lost your power in fighting an impossible fight. If your partner makes you feel lonely, don’t blame yourself – the cause is not yours, but your partner.

Choose solitude

If you’re at the point where you’re just understanding everything that’s going on in your relationship, ask for help. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a friend, family member, or professional to help you. You can’t get out of this situation without people who really support you.

Once you have left that person behind, cherish your loneliness. So get to be with yourself – choose it.

This is going to be a healthy loneliness where you will find yourself and security in yourself.

Even though you may have been scared in the past, now you know that this type of loneliness is better than what your partner once felt like.

There will still be many people in your life who will make you feel unstable. However, you must not forget that such people are also a test for you.

These experiences will teach you, and they will help you become stronger. This has not happened unnecessarily  – it will not happen again.
